Getting from Vilnius Airport to the City Centre
Vilnius Airport is very close to the city centre, so the journey is usually quick and straightforward.
Train
The fastest way to reach the city centre is by train. The airport railway stop, Oro uostas, is connected to the terminal by a short covered walkway. The train goes to Vilnius Railway Station, next to the central bus station and within walking distance of the Old Town.
Travel time is up to 8 minutes. A one-way ticket costs €0.90. Tickets can be purchased online, via the LTG Link app, at the ticket machine on the airport railway platform or on the train.
This is a good option if you are travelling light or staying near the Old Town.
Vilnius public transport
Vilnius public transport is reliable, safe and easy to use. The airport bus stop is located directly outside the arrivals terminal.
The most useful bus routes from the airport are 3G, 88, 1 and 2. Route 3G is a fast connection through the city centre. Route 88 is convenient for the Old Town. Routes 1 and 2 connect the airport with the railway and bus station area.
The journey to the city centre usually takes about 15 to 25 minutes, depending on traffic.
A 30-minute public transport ticket costs €1.00. A 60-minute ticket costs €1.25. Tickets can be purchased through the m.Ticket app or the Trafi app. Trafi is also useful for checking routes and live departure times.
You can also buy a ticket directly on board by tapping a contactless bank card, phone or smart watch on the validator. In this case, a 60-minute ticket for €1.25 is activated automatically.
Google Maps and www.stops.lt are also reliable for planning public transport journeys in Vilnius.
Bolt or Uber
For the easiest door-to-door option, use Bolt or Uber. Bolt is the most commonly used ride-hailing app in Lithuania.
The ride from the airport to the city centre usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes. The typical price is around €8 to €15, depending on the time of day, demand and exact destination.
This is the best option if you are arriving late, travelling with luggage or going directly to your hotel.

Getting from the City Centre to Mykolas Romeris University
Mykolas Romeris University is located at Ateities g. 20, in the northern part of Vilnius.
Public transport to MRU
The closest stop to the university is Mykolo Romerio universitetas.
If travelling from the city centre, for example from Vincas Kudirka Square, walk to the nearby Vincas Kudirka aikštė stop and take bus No. 10. Get off at Mykolas Romeris University. From the stop, the university is only a short 2 to 3 minute walk away.
The journey usually takes about 25 to 35 minutes, depending on traffic and waiting time.
The same ticket prices apply: €1.00 for a 30-minute ticket and €1.25 for a 60-minute ticket. A 60-minute ticket can also be purchased directly on board by tapping a contactless bank card, phone or smart watch on the validator.
Bolt or Uber to MRU
From the city centre to MRU, Bolt or Uber is usually the simplest and fastest option.
The journey usually takes about 10 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic. The typical price is around €7 to €12.
